You won’t catch me dressing up for holidays like the 4th of July (read: American flag printed shorts or top). For me, those ultra loud themed-prints feel strange and so dated. But I still like to feel patriotic. I decided to create a super easy patriotic nail art tutorial as a way to show my patriotism without actually looking like a flag.

While I was in London and Paris the last few weeks, I couldn’t help but notice nearly every store window I passed had a mannequin wearing an off shoulder shirt. I didn’t actually see any ladies wearing the hot trend, but then again, the weather has been pretty chilly in both cities.

Have you noticed there are two colors – periwinkle blue and rose pink – dominating fashion lately? That’s probably because they are the Pantone colors of 2016. I previously discussed rose quartz, which I actually have been wearing a lot lately, but this is the first time I’m trying out the serenity color in this periwinkle dress.

Everyone knows pastels are popular for spring, but wearing army green in spring is much less expected. As I think about what people wear in spring, I’m reminded of one of my favorite Devil Wears Prada scenes, “florals for spring? Groundbreaking.”

It was Friday morning and I was scrolling through Instagram like I usually do. It was any other day, except for the fact that I was prepping for a nearly 3-week trip to London and Paris for work. As I mindlessly scrolled through Instagram, I stopped short when I saw British Vogue was promoting their Vogue Festival, which was happening the weekend I was set to arrive in London. On the unlikely chance of me being in the worlds’ fashion capital the very weekend I arrived, I just knew I had to attend.

Stripes are a quintessential spring trend. The nautical style always pops up in the spring. You know, the classic navy and white striped top paired with flowy white pants, or maybe some gold accents for some bling. This spring, the nautical vibe gets an updated twist with multi-colored stripes taking the place of the traditional navy and white.

Wedge sneakers have been around for a few years, so I’m a little late to the game of actually owning a pair. I know some blogs and fashion sites say they are out of style, but I think every girl should own a pair of high-top wedge gym shoes for these four reasons.

I’m not a huge skirt person. I just recently decided I can wear pencil skirts, after years of avoiding them. The same goes for a maxi skirt. I’ve worn maxi dresses every now and then, but I generally stick to knee-length or midi-length skirts or dresses because I find them more flattering on my figure.

It’s already in the 90s in Phoenix, so our pool is becoming more and more tempting. I generally like to find a new swimsuit every summer. It almost feels like a rite of passage, like it signals the true start of summer or something.
