I am so excited to be chosen as part of the Gal Squad, which is an ambassador program with The Red Door Spas again this year! As part of the program, I get to experience some of their spa services and products and talk about my experience.

I consider myself a fashionista. You will find me searching for (in-store or online) deals almost every weekend. I often find the best deals at resale stores (and resale online). The problem with resale? Well, I often find items that are slightly defective. I’ve definitely purchased things with loose hems, for example. I do know how to sew, but my 1970s (literally) sewing machine is way back in our storage shed.

When you find the perfectly distressed jean jacket, you’ve hit the jackpot. A denim jacket is one of the most versatile pieces you should have in your wardrobe. Jean jackets are cool, classic, and can be edgy if you style them correctly.

One of my favorite fashion trends that had stuck around a few seasons is scallop hems. I just love the frilly detail and I think it looks so cute on dresses and tops. I especially love this purple scallop hem dress because the dropped waist and the shorter length keeps it very playful.

My favorite summer trend is off shoulder dresses and tops. I previously discussed the trend and mentioned all the reasons why I like it. The very first reason I love this trend is because off shoulder dresses are so light and romantic for summer.

Nautical stripes is a classic American sportswear pattern that I happen to love wearing year-round, but especially in the summer. Ralph Lauren’s style guide put it perfectly, nautical stripes evokes a sporty, all-American elegance.

There is no better summer accessory than a floppy sun hat. There are three major reasons why I believe every summer wardrobe should be centered around floppy sun hats.

You won’t catch me dressing up for holidays like the 4th of July (read: American flag printed shorts or top). For me, those ultra loud themed-prints feel strange and so dated. But I still like to feel patriotic. I decided to create a super easy patriotic nail art tutorial as a way to show my patriotism without actually looking like a flag.

While I was in London and Paris the last few weeks, I couldn’t help but notice nearly every store window I passed had a mannequin wearing an off shoulder shirt. I didn’t actually see any ladies wearing the hot trend, but then again, the weather has been pretty chilly in both cities.
