I never really understood the need for sunglasses until I moved to Phoenix back in 2004. With over 300 days of sun and the glare from the desert, they were a must. Now that I live in sunny southern California, I still wear sunglasses every single day, so I don’t mind spending a bit more on a nice pair.

I don’t have much time to browse the mall like I did before I had my daughter. Now, I mostly use online retail sites to stay current with what’s new. The other day, I went to Nordstrom’s site and saw this stylish look. I love this crochet top and skort look because the coral is bright and cheery, and the army skort (yes, skort) looks fresh with strappy heels.

With so many trendy fall coats under $300, it’s hard to decided on which style to buy. Whether you’re into capes, military-inspired, mixed media, or robe coats, almost any style goes. I’m not saying it was the best look, but it totally fit the 90’s grunge style at the time.

Winter accessories for women have more style and panache than ever. A knit hat is no longer just a knit hat, but features rhinestones, gems or interesting prints. Scarves come in all shades and textures and prints. Gloves and mittens have interesting hardware or cutout details. If your winter jacket is the standard gray or…

Deciding how to dress for Thanksgiving can be chore, but it doesn’t have to be. Thanksgiving is synonymous with family, food, football and passing out on the couch after one-too-many slices of turkey, but there is no reason you can’t be stylish and fashionable even if you’re having a more low-key celebration.

Party dresses are all about sparkle, sequins and tastefully showing a little skin. With New Year’s Eve simultaneously being the last and first party of the year, you could probably justify spending twice your normal budget to ring in the new year. My friend was telling me about how her son started kindergarten this week, which got me thinking about Rocco. In just a couple years, I’ll be preparing to send him to his first day of school. I can distinctly remember my first day of kindergarten. I was so excited to start school and I absolutely loved shopping for back to school clothes for kindergarten — and every year there after.
