Athleisure is here to stay. I remember talking to a friend recently about how casual Americans dress compared to other parts of the world. (We are headed to South America soon, and the vibe is much dressier down there). But even if other places require a lot more dressed-up looks, here in the U.S., people love their denim and, even more casual, the standard black leggings or sweats. Lately, I’ve seen more and more women choosing to wear a matching activewear set, so I thought it was time I try one for myself.

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with animal print. Honestly, it always makes me think of the older ladies on the Sopranos. It generally gives me – trying to be chic, but actually pretty trashy vibes. But every now and then I love to throw a new animal print piece into my wardrobe.

If you’ve followed my blog for any period of time, you know I love dresses, especially sweater dresses. They are one of my wardrobe favorites for fall and winter. I recently got this bodycon midi sweater dress that I think is the absolute perfect addition to my fall wardrobe because it works so well for work and also for a night out.

I have to admit, I’m usually a little slow to picking up the latest denim trends. Generally, I tend to sit back a while and see what’s going to stick before jumping into a new jean fit. I can distinctly remember when skinny jeans first became popular. For the longest time, I did not want to give up my bootcut jeans for skinny jeans.

If there’s one color I keep seeing for fall, it’s this rust orange color. It seems to be everywhere. I recently got this cute rusty orange dress, and I actually ordered another rust orange dress that’s coming any day now. We’re nearing the end of summer but it’s actually been the warmest it’s been all year in LA lately. I recently got this lavender mini dress from Fashion Nova. I had never shopped there before but one of my friends suggested it for jeans. Unfortunately, I didn’t love the jeans, but I did find this cute lavender dress and I’m loving it for these warmer summer days.

I love wearing white dresses in the summer. Every year, I add at least one or two new ones (this one has florals too). I recently found this white lace dress on sale, and I knew I had to have it. It’s a coverup and a mini dress in one. I’ve talked about wearing cover-ups as dresses earlier this summer. This is another example of a perfect beach cover-up that also works as a summer dress.

Just in time for the hottest month, this corset mini dress is my new favorite summer dress. I absolutely adore the fun floral watercolor print. I also love the v-neck and the corsetted bust and drop waist.
