Each September, as the leaves start to change and the air gets crisp, I remember what the weeks leading back to school felt like. I always looked forward to back to school shopping. Even picking out notebooks and pencils seemed fun. I mean, what was cooler than the trapper-keeper?

This spring fashion season, I’m loving all the pastels, especially light pink. I previously featured the pink trend, but I had to revisit it when I saw these fresh pink leather biker jackets.

When I think of leather jackets, I think edgy, rocker chick. I love this look because they paired an ultra-feminine skirt and blouse with the biker jacket and ankle-wrapped pointed toe heels. I really love the hard and the soft together because it’s less expected and creates an interesting balance.

I’ve owned this red asymmetrical jacket for several years. It rotates in and out of my closet every few months. I literally move it into a storage closet when I get tired of it, and then a few seasons later, I’ll grab it to add to my current wardrobe. I only get tired of it because it has such a specific style, I can’t wear it too often.

It’s felt like summer in LA the last two weeks, but we are going back to cooler temperatures this week and I’m thankful. I can’t lie, I do love winter coat weather, but only a little bit of it. I love that I can throw on a cute coat, like this long teddy coat on cooler nights. I’ve added quite a few winter coats this year because I’ve found so many affordable ones that are also super stylish.

Every year in January, I realize I don’t really own the right types of coats to live in LA. The weather in LA is normally so mild, that I rarely need anything more than a sweater or maybe a denim jacket. But in December through February, it can become deceptively cold-feeling, even if it’s in the 60s.
