Brunch

I’ve never made a tart before. Given it was Labor Day weekend, I wanted to create something new and a bit more challenging. Since I almost always choose to bake sweet things, I thought it would be fun to try something on the savory side. I originally wanted to make an heirloom tomato tart, but I was underwhelmed by the selection at the Farmer’s Market. I found this recipe while searching for tomato and onion tarts, so decided to change up the filling a bit, but used this recipe as a base.

Have you tried making frittatas before? If not, you need to start. The great thing about frittatas is they work for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can pair them with a salad, they work great for lunch. If you add a side of roasted veggies, frittatas make a great dinner. Of course, they always work for breakfast as well. Moreover, they provide a family-friendly, healthy and filling meal in with very little effort.

I created this super simple chocolate croissant recipe for an upcoming cafe party tutorial (check back on Friday!). One of the things I miss most about Europe is all of the little cafes with delicious coffee and even yummier pastries. You really can’t go wrong with any of the tasty baked goods in those cafes, but my absolute favorite is the pain au chocolat – aka – chocolate croissants.

Are you starting a diet as part of your New Years resolution? If you are, I bet you’ve sworn off foods like pancakes. But you don’t have to! These gluten free oatmeal pancakes are totally healthy and a super filling way to start your morning. You can start your year refreshed with healthy recipes like these pancakes without sacrificing on flavor.

I’ve seen a lot of great baked oatmeal recipes online but I never made it myself. I love the idea of baked oatmeal because it’s a perfect hot breakfast you can make it in advance and then eat it all week long. Plus, I love baked goods. This blueberry baked oatmeal is a healthy way to get the taste of a baked good, like a blueberry muffin, without all the sugar and calories.

How do you celebrate Easter with your family? Brunch is a major Easter tradition in many households and since my family loves breakfast foods, I’m planning to create a whole spread for them. I’ve never made sticky cinnamon buns before, so when I teamed up with Pillsbury™, I was excited to create these sticky cinnamon buns.

My kids are such picky eaters, especially my son. I’m constantly looking for new ideas for meals to change it up. These breakfast bruschetta with Nutella® Hazelnut Spread are super easy to make, taste fantastic, and are a fun way to shake up our breakfast routine. Plus, it is so versatile to use with toast, fruit, and yogurt.

Did you know today is National Coffee Cake Day? My kids and I love coffee cake. We generally prefer the traditional coffee cake with all of the cinnamon goodness. However, I wanted to incorporate fruit into this recipe since spring and summer have the best produce! I decided to try making this blueberry streusel coffee cake because I really love blueberries in baked goods.

There are some recipes that look much more impressive than they actually are. These Mini Caramelized Onion and Gruyère Quiches fall into that category. They are elegant, satisfying, and completely approachable for any level of home cook. Also, they taste like something you would order in a French café but can be made with just a few ingredients in under an hour.
