I’ve been a major fan of t-shirt dresses ever since my trip to Italy in 2016. I had two different t-shirt dresses, a black one, and a floral print one. I wore them nonstop on that trip because they are super comfortable, still look put-together, go with everything, and don’t wrinkle.

Getting to attend my first New York Fashion Week was such an amazing experience. Even though I didn’t get to go to any of the premier designer shows, I still got to attend quite a few up-and-coming designer shows that were a lot of fun. With the trip behind me, I have an eye on the biggest trends from New York Fashion Week. Here are 7 that stood out to me.

When I started Posh in Progress in 2013, I made a list of about 100 things I hoped to accomplish. Near the top of that list was attending New York Fashion Week. Last week, nearly five years later, I was finally able to check that off my list.

If there was only one item I could bring with me to fashion week, I think it would be one of my best motorcycle jackets. I am obsessed with leather jackets, and specifically motorcycle jackets because they are so versatile! You can literally wear them with anything.

The late 90s, prepping for the prom, was the last I had fake nails. That was the first and that last time — until last week. Sure, I’ve gotten many a manicure over the years, but adding extensions or fake nails was not something I thought I’d like. Then last week, I went in for a regular gel manicure, but my nails were super short.

Last weekend, I was at the mall with one of my dear friends. She was shopping for an upcoming shoot for her new website and asked me to help style her. We had a great time and I even found a few things for myself for Fashion Week.

I’ve decided to take more fashion risks this year. Since having kids, I’ve realized I’ve been in quite a rut. Although I’ve always taken pride in looking my best, for the last couple years, I’ve been rocking basically the same style. I wear the same jewelry, never venturing into new territory, until I found these gold statement earrings.

What are you wearing for Valentine’s day? I recently found this gorgeous red dress for under $40 and I think it is a perfect red Valentine’s Day dress. (I’ve linked to a similar style below. I found mine just a couple weeks ago at H&M, but I can’t find it online!) I’ve talked about special occasion dresses in the past. Generally, I’m not a fan of buying things that you’d only wear once. It’s just not practical. But every now and then, I’m down.
