Three Pays: Black and White Floral Print Dress

black-and-white-floral-dressWhen I saw this look, I fell for the classic black and white floral print dress. Black and white is timeless, and as long as the floral print is fairly simple, this dress style could last for years.

Both black and white and floral prints are very popular this year, but I like that both trends won’t easily feel dated. I actually own a very similar dress that I’ve had for at least five years.

The black and white floral print dress look is ultra feminine. Paired with the dress, the shoes and accessories are fairly subtle, so they don’t show up the dress. The clutch has some floral embellishments, the bracelet has a tiny diamond-like stone, and the dangling earrings have a stone detail. All of these little touches make this look special without competing against the dress. To complete the look, simple beige heels elongate the leg.

I came up with three versions of the same look at vastly different price points. No matter your budget, you can easily get this look — just look for a black and white floral print dress and neutral accessories with subtle details.

A quick note about printed clothing—if you are petite, stick to small or medium-sized prints. Large prints will overwhelm your small frame. If you aren’t petite, you can handle a larger print, so just choose whichever size pattern you like best.
