I can’t believe it’s already been a year (tomorrow) since we started Posh In Progress. I started the blog as a way for me to share my current fashion obsessions, experiences as a new mom, and my favorite recipes.

I’ve really enjoyed the first year and can’t wait to keep improving the blog in year two. To reflect on this first year, here are the Posh in Progress 10 best posts.

10. Oscars Inspired Fashion

I love the Oscars inspired fashion looks post because it was fun to create outfits that remind me of some aspect of each of the movies I chose: Gravity, American Hustle, Dallas Buyer’s Club and Wolf of Wall Street. I’m especially obsessed with the Gravity look (YSL dress and Marni shoes!).

9. Mini Lemon Bundt Cakes

I’m kinda obsessed with lemon. I haven’t counted, but I’ve probably made at least five recipes for the blog that feature lemons. My favorite lemon recipe from this year is the mini lemon Bundt cakes. Mini things are just cuter and these cakes are so pretty with a white glaze and bright lemon zest.

8. Five Minute Face

I’m a busy new mom, but even a little bit of makeup makes me feel more confident and put together. My five minute face makeup tips can help any mom, makeup novice or person who doesn’t think she has time to put on makeup, change her mind.

7. Online Shopping 101

It’s a little embarrassing to admit, but I’m good at shopping. I’m not sure it’s a skill I should be proud of (consumerism and all), but it is a skill I’ve honed over the years. I share my money-saving knowledge and other shopping tips in my online shopping 101 post.

6. Chocolate Covered Irish Stout Beer and Pretzel Caramels

Of all the recipes I’ve made this year, I’m most proud of my chocolate covered Irish stout beer and pretzel caramels because it was my first time making candy, and they turned out so cute and really delicious.

5. Spring Suits

In my professional career, there have been times where I’ve felt stuck wearing the same boring black pants suit. I love the spring suits for women post because I show stylish and fashion forward suit options for professional women and share styling tips to help find a suit to highlight your best features.

4. Done Having Babies

I’m done having babies is one of my favorite mom posts because it was therapeutic to share an emotional reaction to a situation I didn’t expect to experience.

3. Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know what you’re going to say “Really? Of all your posts this year you’re telling me a chocolate chip cookie made the cut?” I say an enthusiastic, YES. These really are the world’s best chocolate chip cookies. I dare you to try them.

2. How to Wear to Full Skirts

There are a lot of fashion posts I really liked this year, but the how to wear a full skirt post I especially enjoyed creating and sharing. First, I love the full skirt trend this year and second, I think the styling tips I shared are really on-point and can help any girl look great in a full skirt.

1. Where Breastfeeding Advocates Get It Wrong

Probably the hardest story to write and share was where breastfeeding advocates get it wrong. It is hard to admit my own flaws to the whole world (at least my readers), but I hope sharing this story helps moms who have gone through similar experiences to know they’re not alone in their struggles.
