10 Outrageously Expensive Christmas Gifts

expensive Christmas gifts

If money were no object, what gift would you want to receive for Christmas? With that question in mind, I compiled 10 outrageously expensive Christmas gifts. Many of the items I found left me puzzled or laughing, but I wouldn’t mind owning a few of these. It’s hard for me to fathom receiving such an opulent gift, but I could definitely imagine these items elegantly wrapped underneath someone’s gold-plated, diamond-encrusted Christmas tree.

1. Stuart Hughes Gold and Diamond iPhone Case – $16,000,000

Talk about over the top, when I saw this IPhone case’s price tag, I almost didn’t believe it. This case features 135 grams of 24 carat gold, over 600 white flawless diamonds, and a 26 carat black single deep cut diamond to replace the home button.

2. Simon Teakle Vintage Art Deco Diamond Earrings – $83,500

One of my favorite finds on the list, these Art Deco chandelier earrings were made in 1925, and embody the glamour of the 1920’s. Mounted in platinum, the trefoil motifs and pear-shaped diamond clusters weigh in at 13 carats.

3. Tonneau Cocktail Watch – $70,000

A truly stunning timepiece, this Tiffany watch is made of 18 carat white gold with 430 diamonds, pavé dial and bracelet of round brilliant and baguette diamonds with a total carat weight of 8.2.

4. Loro Piana Fribourg Cashmere Cardigan with Fox Fur Collar – $7,219

One of my favorite post-holiday finds are deeply discounted cashmere sweaters (I got one at Banana Republic last year for just over $40!) But this version is unlike any sale item I could imagine in rich cashmere featuring a lamb leather belt and fox fur collar.

5. The Row Exotic Mixed Media Top-Handle Handbag – $9,500

I’m a fan of The Row (I featured one of their bags here), and this handbag would surely make a statement with its mix of mink fur, fine leather and python. I also love the black, white and red color palate, a classically chic choice.

6. Lanvin Butterfly Print Robe – $2,563

A robe is always a safe and practical gift for Christmas, but Lanvin’s version isn’t your standard department store find. This robe is 100% silk and features a dark khaki silk butterfly print.

7. Jack Row Jaali Gold and Petrol Blue Diamond Pen – $47,500

You know how people give pens for accomplishments like graduation or retirement? Well, can you imagine getting this pen? This ornate fountain pen is handcrafted of 18 karat yellow and white gold and is studded with approximately 1.8 carat precious brilliant-cut petrol blue diamonds.

8. Eternal Borgezie Diamond Stilettos – $187,000

One of the most over-the-top items I found, these gold and diamond encrusted stilettos house 2,200 handset diamonds with a total of 30 carats. So innovative, the shoes are patented because the heels and soles can be quickly and easily replaced so that these shoes can last an eternity.

9. Henri Bendel Jewelry Trunk – $7,500

A jewelry collector’s dream, this trunk is lined in leather trim with imported gold hardware.

 10. Gucci Women’s 1921 Collector’s Edition Riding Boots – $17,500

These special edition riding boots were conceived to celebrate Gucci’s 90th anniversary. They are truly stunning in winter leaf color crocodile and leather soles.
